Surrey County Council, UK - Budget Simulator

Overview

Surrey County Council in England used a budget Simulator to involve the public in prioritising the budget for 2008/09.

Using Simulator allowed the public to try their hand at being the financial director for the day and have a go at balancing the books, whilst at the same time being educated on the tough decisions that councils are faced with each year to ensure all services are suitably accounted for whilst making sure they do not overspend.
