Overview

Powys County Council in Wales need to find savings between £8 and £13 million in the next year to comply with law and set a balanced budget.

Facing similar pressures to local authorities right across the UK Powys wanted to involve their citizens in deciding on how these savings should be made so opted to use a Budget Simualtor to display options for saving and indeed options for increased income through a proposed increase in Council tax.
