Liverpool City Council, UK - Budget Simulator 

Liverpool City Council needed to make savings of £90 million over a 3 year period, so invited the public to have a go at balancing the budget.

The public were asked "Which services do you think we should protect? Which services do you think we could reduce, or stop all together?"

Through the use of impact statements, Liverpool City Council were able to educate and better inform their respondents throughout the challenge, which led to the submission of better quality responses and a greater insight into the views, thoughts and opinions of their citizens.
