Hamilton City Council, New Zealand - Budget Simulator

Overview

Hamilton City Council in New Zealand were setting their budget for the coming year and wanted a way of involving the public in deciding how the budget should be spent so opted to use Simulator and asked the public to select the services they valued the most.

By prioritising services the public were able to better inform the council on how the budget should be spent whilst at the same time allowing the council to gain much greater insight in to the thoughts and opinions of their citizens.
