Dorset Police, UK - Points Simulator

Overview

Dorset Police in England wanted to involve their citizens in prioritising police services and take part in allocating resources to specific services in order to get a better grasp of the real life challenges that the force face when trying to ensure that all aspects of tackling crime are accounted for.

They opted to use a points Simulator and broke their Simulator down in to 2 simple groups: High Harm Crime, and Neighbourhood and rural policing. 

Participants could allocate points to the services they valued most, but understand that for every service you improve there must be a trade-off elsewhere as resources are not endless.
