Brent Council, UK - Budget Simulator

Overview

Brent Council in London, England needed to make savings of £40 million over a period of 4 years and wanted to know which services the public valued as the most important and which services they saw as the least important.

They also offered participants the opportunity to reduce the deficit by increasing council tax - something which would help save services but ultimately impact on the respondents back pocket.

Respondents had the opportunity to increase and decrease services, but ultimately they had to balance the books before being able to proceed and complete the challenge.
